Mahindra Emax 25 is a 24hp, four stroke water cooled diesel engine powered compact tractor with multiple attachment capabilities. It uses a hydrostatic transmission system. Some of the attachment capabilities for the tractor include the loader bucket, backhoe and slide discharge mowers. The performance and reliability of the tractor depends on proper asset care management system. Tractor Electrical System
The electrical system is responsible for engine ignition during start up, all tractor lighting and indicators, wipers and braking lights.
Lighting System Not Working
To solve this problem with Mahindra Emax 25 tractor, the first thing to check are the lamp fuses. For some reason the fuses blow out thus opening the circuit resulting in lights not working or illuminating as they are supposed to do. Fuses operate as protection devices which blow out when current overload passes through the unit. Carefully follow the cables to the fuse and visually inspect it for signs of being burnt or broken. Broken or burnt fuses need to be replaced using the appropriate size fuse that will give protection to the lamps for the tractor. Broken cables also need to be inspected and where possible rejoining and insulation should be done to provide electrical continuity. Loose connections have to be fixed using proper hose clamps. Always keep the transmission oil within required levels.
Mahindra Emax 25 tractor transmission problems or failure are also caused by failure mechanical elements like the pump, hydraulic motors and filters. Failure of the pump affects the whole hydraulics of the tractor. Functional pump should be able to pump out transmission oil from its outlet port otherwise the pump is dead. Faulty pumps should be sent for repairs or be replaced. The same applies to hydraulic motors and filters, these elements also fail due to wear and tear. It is therefore recommended to periodically check their functionality and replace any faulty part.
Common Mahindra Emax 25tractor engine problems include engine stalling frequently, engine running at abnormally high temperatures and abnormal engine noise.
Engine Stalling Frequently
The engine will suddenly shut off when running or it does not run consistently. The major reason for this kind of engine performance is faulty fuel injection system.This problem is addresses by repairing or replacement of the faulty fuel system. It is recommended to contact Mahindra authorized dealers to assist in problem diagnosis. Blockages of the air and fuel filters are also other causes of engine stalling. These units are critical for air and fuel cleaning prior to engine intake. They get rid of all debris so that combustion is efficient. With time the filters get clogged with dirt and debris and require cleaning periodically. If filters gets old and cannot be further cleaned and reused replacement is recommended to ensure air fuel mixture quality is maintained.
This problem in Mahindra Emax 25 tractors may be caused insufficient coolant. This may be caused by leakages. The engine is designed to operate within certain temperature ranges. Once these are exceeded the performance is compromised.
Coolant levels need to be regularly checked and maintained within required levels. When refilling the coolant also make sure you use the correct coolant for the engine as recommended by supplier. Engine cooling problems are also caused by damaged radiator core. Damaged radiator cores should be replaced and those that are clogged with dirt should be cleaned. The fan belt should also be inspected for tension and condition Slack belts should be tensioned and broken belts replaced.
The major cause of engine knocking is operating the engine at low temperatures. Coolant should be able to vaporize at correct engine temperatures thus avoiding engine pistons knocking. Engine should be allowed to warm up so that the coolant becomes effective.
Secondly, excessive engine knocking in Mahindra Emax 25 tractors is caused by worn out pistons and excessive end play of the crank.Worn out pistons and connecting rods should be replaced.
